TV
- Keep it in a dry, ventilated spot
- Use a surge protector and unplug it in thunderstorms
Fridge
- Wipe the inside and the door seal to stop mould
- If you are away for long, empty it, switch it off and keep the door slightly open
Washing machine
- Leave the door ajar after use
- Run a cleaning cycle if there is a musty smell
AC
- If the AC is unused, run it in fan mode for a while to dry the coil
- Clean the filters before using it again
Microwave
Keep it away from damp walls and wipe off steam and moisture.
Electrical safety
Do not touch a wet switchboard or socket. If you see water near wiring, switch off the main supply and call an electrician.
